How to stake Ethereum?

You can stake your ETH on Guarda and earn Ethereum Rewards.

Step 1.
Open your ETH wallet on Guarda from the list on the left, click "Stake" in “ETH Staking” section, then enter the deposit amount (0.1 ETH minimum) and click “Next”.
Step 2.
Confirm the amount that you are going to stake.
Step 3.
Finally, click "Next" and confirm the information to start earning your rewards.
Step 4.
You will immediately receive the same amount of GETH as confirmation that your funds have been deposited into the pool. As long as you hold at least 0.1 GETH, you will receive staking rewards.

With received GETH, you can hold or trade your staked assets on Uniswap at any time. After the activation of the funds withdrawal for Guarda validators, it will be possible to swap your GETH to ETH at a 1-to-1 ratio in Guarda Wallet app.

1. What is Ethereum 2.0?

Ethereum 2.0 brings Proof of Stake to the Ethereum network and it is now possible to stake ETH and get rewards. Participating in ETH 2.0 staking requires 32 ETH and validator construction technology but Guarda made it all nice and simple for you.

2. How to stake Ethereum 2.0?

If you don't want or can spend 32 ETH on running your own Ethereum staking validator. You can easily join Guarda's ETH staking pool and start staking Ether with as little as 0.1 ETH. Here is a tutorial for you.

3. What's the interest rate?

The approximate annual interest rate is currently around 3%. It indicates the maximum reward amount that you can receive if blockchain conditions remain stable, with no changes to network fees, gas amounts, or the number of validators. Also it depends on the staked amount in the network.

4. What is the minimal amount of stake?

The minimal stake is 0.1 ETH. The network fee is at the expense of a user. To provide our users with a more flexible option for staking we are issuing ERC-20 GETH tokens, Guarded Ether, which you are receiving in a 1:1 ratio to staked ETH. The network fee is at the expense of a user. It is important to remember that in order for rewards to be earned, a user's balance must be at least 0.1 GETH. During periods when the balance is below this threshold, staking rewards will not be granted.

5. How much is the service fee?

The service fee is 10% of on-chain rewards.

6. How is the reward calculated?

The annual profit for ETH staking is currently about 3%, 0.3% of which is charged by our service to pay for servers and maintain sustainable infrastructure. You can calculate Ethereum staking rewards using the calculator above. Rewards generated by the validator pool are calculated for each staker proportionally to the amount of staked funds and the duration of their staking. Rewards are paid out to GETH holders (as ETH stakers) in GETH in an amount equal to the calculated rewards in ETH.

7. How to withdraw staked ETH?

Withdrawal of funds is available for Guarda validators in accordance with the network queue. Guarda Wallet enables the exchange of GETH for ETH at a 1-to-1 ratio. The network fee is at the expense of a user.

As long as you hold GETH, it means that you are participating as an ETH staker. Taking out GETH is the same as withdrawing an equal amount of ETH from staking.

8. How is the reward distributed?

Starting January 2022, the GETH rewards will be distributed every 3 months, from 25th to 5th. Since deposited ETH and rewards are frozen by the network, we will distribute GETH token which is in a 1:1 ratio to ETH.

9. Will I be able to swap GETH tokens?

Yes, it is possible to swap GETH tokens to ETH in a 1-to-1 ratio using the web, desktop, and mobile Guarda Wallet. The network fee is at the expense of a user.
